馬林魚4日雖以2比1險勝小熊，奪下4連勝，但陣中日籍球星鈴木一朗全場4打數繳白卷，目前陷入連續29打席無安打的低潮，刷新個人大聯盟生涯最差紀錄。
日、美職統算超過4000支安打，號稱「安打製造機」的一朗，本季以41歲高齡加盟馬林魚續拚球場，為的就是達成大聯盟生涯3000安里程碑，目前還差114支。
季初一朗大多擔任替補，近期因陣中主砲史坦頓(Giancarlo Stanton)進入傷兵名單，而獲得較多先發機會，但打擊方面卻陷入低潮；昨日才以連續25打席無安打追平個人最差，此役4打數再度「槓龜」，還吞下2K，持續刷新難堪紀錄。
一朗上次敲出安打要追溯到6月19日與洋基之戰，本季出賽77場僅敲出42支安打，打擊率2成51、上壘率3成11，各項數據都與生涯平均有段落差，本季要挑戰大聯盟3000安里程碑並不樂觀。
馬林魚此役靠著包爾(Justin Bour)以及耶里奇(Christian Yelich)各貢獻1發陽春砲，搭配投手群聯手封鎖小熊打線，僅被敲出6支安打，最終就以1分險勝小熊，笑納4連勝。
在這波連勝之旅，一壘手包爾的打擊絕對功不可沒，前天敲出再見3分砲氣走巨人，昨日又轟出逆轉3分彈，帶領球隊勝利，今天則在六局上敲出致勝陽春砲；同時連4場開轟也追平隊史紀錄。
在小聯盟打拼5年，去年才登上大聯盟的包爾說：「幫助球隊贏球的感覺真的很棒，不管對上任何球隊都一樣。」本季打擊率2成71，敲出10轟21打點。
